1. Some adults will have a new monthly work or community engagement requirement.

Starting January 1, 2027, some adults ages 19-64 who receive MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) may need to complete a certain number of hours each month through work, school, community service or other qualifying activities.

Some people may be excluded from this requirement.

2. You may need to renew your Medicaid coverage twice a year

Starting January 1, 2027, some Medicaid members will need to complete an eligibility check twice a year instead of once a year.

You may need to provide information about your household income to show that you still qualify for Medicaid.
 

Keep your contact information up to date.

Make sure MO DSS has your current mailing address, phone number and email address. If your information has changed, update it at, mydss.mo.gov.

Watch important messages.
Check your mail, email, text messages and MO HealthNet Member Portal regularly. Important notices will tell you what you need to do and when you need to do it.
